Five-axis CNC machining center

GMU-400E

The AFMINGGMU400E 5-axis machining center features a fixed-beam gantry structure combined with FEA-based dynamic optimization technology, paired with dual-gear backlash-free drive systems to achieve the optimal balance of machine rigidity, damping, and weight. It boasts X/Y/Z axis travel distances of 550/600/400 mm, while the A/C axes offer rotation ranges of ±120° and 360°, respectively. The machine’s spindle can reach speeds of up to 15,000 rpm, and when coupled with a 40-tool automatic tool changer, it completes tool changes in just 2.5 seconds. This enables highly efficient machining of complex curved surfaces and multi-faceted parts, significantly reducing production cycles. The equipment is ideally suited for manufacturing small molds, precision automotive components, and aerospace parts.

The AFMINGGMU400E 5-axis machining center features a fixed-gantry gantry structure combined with FEA-based dynamic optimization technology, along with dual-gear backlash-free transmission, ensuring the optimal balance of rigidity, damping, and mass across the entire machine. It boasts X/Y/Z axis travel distances of 550/600/400 mm, while the A/C axes offer rotation ranges of ±120° and 360°, respectively. The machine’s spindle can reach speeds of up to 15,000 rpm, and when paired with a 40-tool automatic tool changer system, it achieves an impressive tool-change time of just 2.5 seconds. This advanced setup enables highly efficient machining of intricate, multi-faceted surfaces, significantly reducing production cycles—and making it ideal for applications such as small-scale molds, precision automotive components, and aerospace parts.

Highlights

(1) Features a fixed-beam gantry structure paired with 35mm-class P-precision roller linear guides, enabling machining of parts with a diameter up to 500mm and a height of 400mm—balancing compactness with exceptional rigidity.
(2) X/Y/Z axes rapid traverse: 30 m/min; A/C axes rapid feed: 20/30 rpm; tool-change time: 2.5 seconds; standard equipped with hollow lead screw cooling for outstanding machining efficiency.
(3) X/Y/Z axis positioning/repeat positioning accuracy: 0.005/0.003 mm; A/C axes: 6/4 arcsec. Standard equipment includes Heidenhain grating scales and real-time temperature compensation to eliminate thermal drift errors.
(4) Well-suited for small molds, automotive components, and civil aviation, it excels particularly in medical devices (orthopedic implants, medullary reamers) and robotic parts (exoskeletons), achieving a processing yield of over 98% for 6061 aluminum alloy components.
